Honored Keynote Speaker

Elsie Withrow

Sister Elsie is joining us again as our Ladies Day of Renewal keynote speaker. We are so excited (and hope you are to) to hear what God has laid upon her heart to share with us at the Ladies Day of Renewal 2008!

Sister Withrow was born in Kentucky, the baby of ten children. She remembers the very first time hearing about Jesus at the age of 5. A missionary came to her holler and held a VBS. She rode in the back of a pickup truck to church and heard for the very first time about Jesus. The song “Deep and Wide” and John 3:16 are the first things that she knew until she was saved at the age of 23 under the ministry of Gene Huff.

Among other trials, Elsie has experienced the loss of a husband and son. Elsie and her husband, Jon, have pastored for over 22 years.

She is the proud mother of 4 and the grandmother of 5. Three of her children are currently in the ministry and one has went to be with the Lord. (Sister Withrow's daughter, Katye, will be giving the workshop for the young and teen girls.)

Workshop #3

"A Priceless Woman, Keeper of the Home”

Wisdom and knowledge from the Lord, being of greater price than even rubies, make the virtuous woman priceless. It’s not in anything material that she possesses, but rather what she knows, how she uses what she knows, and where that knowledge came from.

by Michelle Risner of Springfield, Ohio

Michelle is a woman just like any other striving to be a Proverbs 31/Titus 2 woman and she takes this calling very seriously to make her home and family happy and prosperous. She believes that the most important job a woman can have is to be, “A Keeper at/of the Home”.

She and her husband have been attending New Life for 11 years this July ‘08 and they have 3 children. She has actively been involved on the committee for the Ladies Day of Renewal from its beginning. When not being a Keeper of the Home she is the Secretary to the Pastor and Treasurer of New Life Church. She also teaches Sunday School to the Toddlers and Pre-K’ers, helps out with NLC’s Wednesday night Children’s Ministry Train 226 (Prov 22:6), and is the current editor of the quarterly women’s newsletter.
